We wrote the book! We literally wrote the book on Ohio Medicaid planning and eligibility. We are authors of the Ohio Medicaid Manual, which is considered the leading resource for attorneys across the state of Ohio. Each year, we publish an updated version of the book and host a seminar to educate attorneys on the Medicaid regulations and how they can help their clients qualify for Medicaid. Since 2008, we have trained hundreds of attorneys practicing in this area of law. We have over 30 years of experience serving the elderly and disabled communities, so we know how the rules have changed and how the Ohio Department of Medicaid looks at cases. We work with our clients to achieve their goals in protecting their assets from being spent on the high costs of long-term care. Many times, individuals want to protect their assets for their spouse or children, especially if any of the children are disabled and receiving government benefits of their own. Our planning techniques include irrevocable trusts, special needs trusts, pooled trusts, qualified income trusts, annuities, and other planning tools. We file Medicaid and VA applications and work with the caseworker to obtain eligibility for our clients. In addition to Medicaid and VA planning and applications, we offer basic estate planning, probate, trust administration, and guardianship services.
