Target Hunger

For 33 years, Target Hunger has carried out its mission to alleviate hunger and its root causes in the impoverished northeast Houston neighborhoods we serve. We focus not just on immediate food aid, but also on addressing the systemic, underlying causes of poverty that lead to food insecurity. Target Hunger a United Way agency, is one of Houston’s largest organizations providing direct food distribution to food insecure seniors, children, and families who face the risk of going hungry every day. In 2021, Target Hunger distributed more than 1.5 million meals to more than individuals. All of our work is made possible by generous donors and volunteers.
