Tastein

Tastein is the world’s first coronavirus symptoms test that is based on the diagnosis of taste disorders. They are one of the early signs of SARSCoV-2 and can occur even with asymptomatic coronavirus infection. Tastein detects even the slightest taste disturbances, which are one of the most common characteristic symptoms of SARS-CoV-2 infection. It can quickly be used to detect the disease before it attacks with increased force. The test’s effectiveness was confirmed in a clinical trial with a control group, which was conducted in cooperation with the Central Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Interior and Administration in Warsaw. The results of the study were published in the article titled: “Sensitivity and specificity of prediction models based on gustatory disorders in diagnosing COVID-19 patients: a case-control study*. The Center of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has included the loss of taste and smell among the COVID-19 official symptoms as of May 2020. Multiple governments have added these as official symptoms of COVID-19 and include the UK, USA, and India.
