TaxCycle creates professional tax software for Canadian tax preparers, bookkeepers and accountants. Since it's inception in 2010, TaxCycle has grown its offering into a full suite of tax compliance modules that meets the needs of firms of all sizes. TaxCycle includes forms, calculations and tools to prepare tax returns for personal, corporate, trust, partnership, and information slips. It serves the professional preparers in all jurisdictions across Canada, including Québec. TaxCycle team was founded by Cameron Peters, who also created Cantax® and Intuit® ProFile® software. The team has many decades of experience in software development and tax preparation. They focus solely on creating professional tax software, and work in close collaboration with real-world accountants to create industry-leading tools. Based in Calgary, Alberta, with staff across Canada, TaxCycle is proudly Canadian. In 2021, TaxCycle was acquired by Xero, a global cloud accounting software platform for small businesses and their advisors, and has since amalgamated with Xero’s primary Canadian operating company, Xero Software (Canada) Ltd. TaxCycle continues to operate as a separate business within Xero's Canadian operations.
