Te Tomika Trust is a Kaupapa Māori service. Te Tomika Trust was incorporated as a charitable trust in 1990 and operates under the Māori Model of Health, Te Whare Tapa Wha, serving tangata whaiora and their whanāu based in Tauranga Moana. Our Kaupapa To provide a comprehensive and supportive healing environment for tangata whaiora that enables them to live meaningful lives within the community. Our Vision Hei manaaki tinana me te wairua o nga iwi i raro o tenei tikanga. To improve the overall health and wellbeing of all people engaged in our service. Services we offer: • Kaupapa Māori Housing and Recovery Services for tangata whaiora with a psychiatric illness • Housing and Recovery Services for tangata whaiora with an intellectual disability • Kaupapa Māori Community Mental Health Service • Adult Mental Health Services • Infant, child and youth mental health services • Kaupapa Māori Community services • Supported Living – Intellectual Disability Why work with Te Tomika Trust: We know that together, we are better. Our focus on the four dimensions of wellbeing is not limited to our work with whaiora; we bring this approach to our mahi too. Your health and wellbeing will be supported with access to EAP, internal supervision and in some situations, paid external supervision. We ensure healthy rostering, clear communication with kaimahi and your days will be filled with various activities including team sports, enjoying time out in the rā.
