Teaching Between Classes

We provide opportunities for young people in and around Bedford that they aren't currently receiving as part of their school core curriculum. In collaboration with organisations and professionals, we aim to create experiences for local youth to engage with work experience and learn skills to increase their employability. We are currently running a pilot programme giving youth experience in media production. In collaboration with YouthTV, Ordinary Toucan Ltd. and Bedford Flea Market, we have started a training initiative called the Youth Production Crew that offers free guidance and space to learn how to use industry standard media equipment. It is our aim to expand this into delivering regular workshops introducing young people to skills needed to be a self-starter in creative industries.
