Team Built-Environment at Edinburgh Napier University This is a Student Project Group from the Department of Built Environment at School of Computing, Engineering and the Built Environment of Edinburgh Napier University. The initial projects the group involved are: 1) the Design-to-Built project of a 12m span bamboo-timber composite gridshell in China funded by British Council and Turing Scheme 2) the second Design-to-Built project for another real size bamboo-timber composite gridshell structure in Edinburgh, funded by Construction Industry Council of Hong Kong This group will provide the support to this project with the preivouse experience obtained. It is our intention to continue developing new group projects to provide our students classroom-to-site, theory to practical, computer to real building projects that integrate structural, foundation, architecture, construction, building information modelling, and VR-aided design and construction technologies together.
