Team Eureka

Team Eureka, the official E-Bike team of Thiagarajar College of Engineering, actively promotes E-Mobility among youngsters. Team Eureka, established in 2019, has consistently pushed the boundaries of bicycle and electric vehicle engineering. In 2021, our bicycle Falcon secured AIR 1 in the SAEISS Bicycle Design Challenge, followed by Knimbus in 2023, achieving the same distinction. In 2023, we designed and manufactured our Efficycle, emphasizing energy efficiency, lightweight construction, and sustainable mobility. In 2024, we developed the e-cycle Electra for the Bharath Cycle Design Challenge (BCDC), becoming a top-four finalist in the EV Commuter category. That same year, we introduced Miles in the SAEISS Bicycle Design Challenge, securing AIR 2. Additionally, we ventured into e-bikes with a retrofitted Duke 390, Alpha X, achieving AIR 13 in the SIEP E-Bike Challenge. By 2025, Team Eureka successfully developed its first fully self-manufactured e-bike, STARK, earning AIR 5. This achievement marked a major milestone in our evolution, reflecting the team’s growth from retrofitting and design innovation to complete, in-house vehicle manufacturing.
