Team Roverx

We are a team of undergraduate students from diverse backgrounds working on developing a Mars rover as part of Creation Labs at VIT University. Every year, we participate in various international competitions namely URC (University Rover Challenge), ERC (European Rover Challenge), ARC (Anatolian Rover Challenge) and IRC (International Rover Challenge). Our aim is to develop robotic systems that are capable of performing scientific research and navigating challenging terrains. Taking part in these competitions and tackling the technical challenges set has given us valuable experience in robotic design, autonomous systems and planetary exploration. MarkX Dhruva, our latest rover, ranked 4th worldwide at the International Rover Challenge 2025 while also ranking 1st in Autonomous Expedition. We also ranked 2nd worldwide at the International Rover Design Challenge 2025. Apart from competitions, we have presented our work to Mr. Andrew Anagnost, CEO at Autodesk and at the prestigious Bangalore Space Expo. We at Team RoverX are a group of talented individuals who are dedicated to improving and excelling together. We’re not just building a rover, we’re cultivating a generation of engineers, designers, and problem-solvers ready to take on the challenges of tomorrow. At Team RoverX, every screw, script, and circuit is a step toward redefining what students can achieve in the world of space and robotics.
