Team Vortex

Team Vortex is the student-led aerospace engineering team at VIT Bhopal University, where creativity and engineering converge to shape the future of autonomous flight. We are a group of students dedicated to advancing UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) design, automation, and research. Our work spans the entire development process — from conceptual design and CAD modeling to aerodynamic simulations, wind-tunnel testing, and final assembly. Beyond that, we focus on innovation in flight automation, control systems, and performance optimization, exploring how intelligent design can redefine what UAVs are capable of. Each project combines theoretical understanding with practical engineering, covering aerodynamics, structural design, avionics, and automation. Through this process, we gain hands-on experience and develop solutions inspired by real-world challenges. We also actively participate in national and international competitions, like SAE Aero Design, where we test our ideas, designs, and teamwork on a global stage. At Team Vortex, we’re not just engineering UAVs — we’re shaping the future of autonomous flights.
