We specialize in License Asset Management with Usage Monitoring (LAMUM) tools for CAD/CAE/EDA license assets. Along with LAMUM we also offer consulting services for Enterprise solutions. TeamEDA was founded in 2004 by Guy Haas, a seasoned veteran of the engineering software industry and veteran of the US military (USMC). Initially, TeamEDA was formed as a value-added re-seller for several high-technology software and hardware companies. These companies included Platform Computing (LSF), OpenIT, Tidal Software, Agnisys, License Dashboard, Univa, Rackable Systems, and SGI. After TeamEDAs first 3 years in business it became clear there was a strong need in the industry for a comprehensive license asset management tool. There wasn’t a clear-cut solution that included a license inventory management system for both FlexLM and node-locked engineering tools. Seeing this, we developed a comprehensive functional requirements document from everything we saw that was missing in the industry. Working with two large defense/aerospace companies and an electronics company we set about creating a development plan, hiring in house development engineers and programmers to create the License Asset Management with Usage Monitoring (LAMUM) tool that was originally released in 2007.
