Teamwork Development Trust CIC creates and delivers charitable services that ease disadvantage in Gateshead whilst providing employment and voluntary opportunities to local people. We aim to- Address poverty, vulnerability, social isolation and disadvantage Have a positive environmental, economic and social impact Provide jobs and volunteering opportunities We do this by- Identifying gaps in service provision Identifying emerging/existing needs in the borough Creating services/activities based on local need and gaps in provision Linking with local organisations to create effective referral networks to offer a comprehensive support network for local people Providing management and development support to the third sector organisations we create Teamwork has helped to improve lives throughout the whole borough since 1988 through various community based projects. These include- Foundations Furniture - charity providing free or low cost furniture to households experiencing poverty HTH Teamwork CIC (Happy to Help)- social enterprise assisting older people with home and social care Teams and Bensham Community Care - charity providing a variety of activities for older people Collectively we benefit the lives of thousands of Gateshead residents each year.
