It took us around 9-months to get our first paying Client as a Web developer. And the money we were paid wasn’t what we hoped for, but we discovered something after we delivered that job. We have the skill of designing websites but we were so broke. We were desperate to get clients which were why our first client gave us what he thinks we were worth and not what we actually deserved. And it was because we were trying hard to get a client so we can finally say goodbye to our brokeness. But the truth of the matter is that… trying hard does not work well for most people, thank God we discovered this on time. We were fed up with being broke and skilful.
