tech4farmers ltd is a privately owned ICT company developing and providing tech based innovative services for the agricultural sector since 2012. We operate a commodity exchange and warehouse receipt system where agricultural products and inputs (including machinery) are traded. Our platform already has an active user base of 81 Businesses and 7,500 Subscribers. These businesses and individuals include off-takers, farmers, warehouse operators, input dealers, processors, financial service providers and transporters. Subscribers can access all of our services through In addition, for rural farmers without access to the internet they can access our services through supplementary SMS or USSD channels over a GSM enabled mobile phone or field partners. We are impacting 5,159 farmer Cooperatives and 4,952 Rice growers in Uganda. Our robust platform promotes transparency throughout the value chain while reducing operational and transactional costs for off-takers, mitigating against side-selling and improving product traceability.
