WHAT IS TECHCENTO? TECHCENTO is the community of Italians in STEM abroad. It is a no-profit initiative. WHY TECHCENTO? We have entered an era where big change is driven more by high-performing teams than by the genius of one individual. Matching up with the right team is often the key to success and networking plays a fundamental role. TECHCENTO is designed to organize the Italian STEM community at home and abroad. The common phrase “Non siamo capaci di fare sistema” is to be overcome. Italian talents could emerge and flourish even more by working together in the optimal environment. In spring 2016, TECHCENTO was born with a mission: to collect and connect all Italians in STEM in Italy and abroad. The dream is to create a strong network of individuals as well as institutions, communities and businesses around the world to accelerate opportunities that can only be accomplished by working together. WHAT DOES TECHCENTO MEAN? TECHCENTO is the synthesis of two concepts: technology and “il Quattrocento - Cinquecento”. TECHCENTO aspires to collect and connect today’s Leonardo Da Vinci, Federico Faggin and Adriano Olivetti for a modern tech-Renaissance. We believe that by creating an environment for current and future innovators to meet and collaborate, TECHCENTO can help Italy and the world to become a better place. This is our dream and attempt.
