Techstarter Singapore

TechStarter was founded to help more people be a part of the thriving tech industry. We saw that there are many individuals who would really like to enter Singapore’s tech scene but are confronted with a million and one challenges, such as: the high cost of tech programmes; the daunting inconvenience of juggling full-time work with part-time education; the opportunity cost of putting their career on pause to enroll in a full-time programme; the risks involved in making a switch to a whole new sector where they have to compete with fully-fledged tech professionals with degrees in tech and extensive experience; the challenge of hunting for their own opportunities after obtaining their tech qualifications; the impression that tech skills are extremely difficult to master; the feeling that it is all too much of a challenge and the status quo would be safer. We also saw that many local companies struggle to keep apace with automation but don’t have the resources to hire expensive tech talents who can provide the solutions they need. For many, it’s overkill to hire full-time staff just to deliver a few tech solutions… and project-based talents are expensive too. TechStarter was thus created to provide an independent system that brings tech aspirants and local companies into mutually-rewarding relationships, where both sides get what they need simply by helping each other.
