Techteens

While companies are struggling to attract young highly skilled talents, many teenagers are floating in a lake of uncertain job descriptions and opportunities as they approach the apprenticeship maturity stage. The TechTeens initiative tries to build a bridge between both worlds in order to prepare the generation for the digital professional world in a project-oriented manner and to win tomorrow's skilled talents for the IT industry while they are still in school. In cooperation with the City of Leipzig, IT and creative companies from the region will accompany groups of pupils in the 9th and 10th grades for a period of one year to develop together with professionals form the involved companies a digital solution. This cooperation provides the pupils insights into the variety of educational biographies and training occupations in the IT industry.
