Tedx Obor

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDx Obor, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDx Obor event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized. TEDx Obor is coordonated by a female Head Organiser. Taken this into account, TEDx Obor wants to create a successful event, focused on sharing ideas with the potential to transform local community, to gain the support of the other TEDx Events and to influence other female organisers to engage in the development of their local areas. TEDx Obor wants to offer a platform to all those people who don’t have a voice in the Romanian society, to connect differit social categories, to promote volunteerism, to include persons with disabilities in our team and to offer them the dignity to represent themselves, and to create a community connected through performance, passions and talents. We all, at TEDx Obor share the values of tolerance, fairness, empathy, flexibility, consistency, open-mindedness, commitement, loyalty and reliability.
