TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. TEDx events are independently run events under license from TED that help share ideas in communities around the world. is an independently run event that follows the same vision and format of TED. It is a part of an annual series of talks hosted by University. Through we aim to stimulate new ideas in our local community members by bringing thought provoking speakers to our stage who believe in ideas worth spreading.
