TEDxLasVegas is an independently organized TED program that elevates bold ideas and diverse voices—on a global stage and in our local community. Through immersive experiences, partnerships, and scholarships, we turn ideas into action for a more inclusive, vibrant, and sustainable future. Per TED rules, TEDxLasVegas is completely volunteer-run. TEDx event organizers and their teams may not be paid and the event itself cannot be run for profit. All proceeds must be reinvested into the event or supporting the TED mission. TEDx Financial Rules No Profit Allowed: The primary rule is that a TEDx event must aim to break even. The event is a volunteer endeavor and cannot be used to make money for the organizers or the organizing entity. Volunteer Staff: All members of the core organizing team must be volunteers. No one on the team may benefit financially from the event. Speakers Are Not Paid: Speakers and performers also may not be paid or pay to speak at a TEDx event.
