TEDxRotterdam is back in 2026! Theme of 2026 edition: The Meaning of Acceleration. We live in a time of moving as fast as possible. Technology, the economy, communication, and even our personal lives. But where exactly are we running to? And what does all of this mean? For us as individuals and as a society? This edition creates space for reflection, for stories that celebrate acceleration and question it. What is TEDxRotterdam? The TEDxRotterdam event, designed for and by citizens of Rotterdam, is intended to inspire, enthuse, and connect. It brings together the world’s leading thinkers and doers. During a TEDx event, speakers and TED Talks initiate vital discussions and connections by re-engaging residents, local businesses, and corporations in an active and meaningful way. Very often, this also happens between parties whose paths might otherwise not have crossed. Who is behind TEDxRotterdam? TEDxRotterdam is managed by the Stichting B3leafmedia (foundation for organising cultural and social activities). Laisa Martins Rodrigues Vieira and Adilson Neves are the directors and licensees. How is the TEDxRotterdam event created? A TEDx event is a non-commercial event. A team of volunteers, entrepreneurs, and individuals create this event together. Entrepreneurs who realise the advantages of collaborating with other entrepreneurs and connecting their name to TEDx provide their expertise and time. Other businesses act as partners or sponsors of TEDx.
