TED is a nonprofit devoted to spreading ideas, usually in the form of short, powerful talks (18 minutes or less). TED began in 1984 as a conference where Technology, Entertainment and Design converged, and today covers almost all topics — from science to business to global issues — in more than 100 languages. Meanwhile, independently run TEDx events to help share ideas in communities around the world. TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. building a clearinghouse of free knowledge from the world's most inspired thinkers — and a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other, both online and at TED and TEDx events around the world, all year long. TEDxRUAS is going to be an independently organized TEDx event at Ramaiah University of applied sciences under the Ramaiah group of institutions Bengaluru. M S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (RUAS) was founded in December 2013, under the Karnataka University Act. The creation of RUAS brought together several well-established educational institutions of the Ramaiah Group, reorienting them to a changing present and an unpredictable future. Over the years, RUAS has created a name for itself as a university that is centered on academia, industry, and society; one that works tirelessly to mold the thinkers of tomorrow. RUAS (Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences) mainly believes that education, industry, and society are deeply interlinked, and each can and should mold others. RUAS (Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences) focuses on a wide variety of immense possibilities that arise. RUAS doesn’t just create competent graduates but creates the thinkers, makers, and doers of a better world.
