TED is a global community welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and, ultimately, the world. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience, where x=independently organized TED event. TEDxSantaClaraUniversity aims to bring a TED-like experience to our Jesuit institution that is devoted to educating citizens and leaders of competence, conscience, and compassion to build a more just, humane, and sustainable world. We hope to provide students with a forum for fostering curiosity, excitement, and conversations that matter.
