Tedxtaipei

TEDxTaipei was founded in 2009 when the first TEDx talk was introduced in Taiwan. Back then, our vision was to build a social platform where great stories and ideas may be easily shared among young adults in Taiwan. Since our initial talk, we have hosted four annual events and over 100 salon-style gatherings and campus talks. These series of events allow us to compile a comprehensive knowledge database that focuses on Taiwan, innovation, and creativity. Storytelling, the traditional method of passing down customs, history, and heritage to a younger generation, is the core value of TEDxTaipei. The TEDx way of contemporary storytelling consists of talks and performances that stir one’s curiosity. These stories are made available not only to those in the audience seats, but are also broadcasted online for free. Ultimately, we hope that these TEDxTalks serve as a multifaceted medium for children to learn about Taiwan and the rest of the world.
