About TEDx, x = independently organized event In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.(Subject to certain rules and regulations.) We will hold our fourth annual conference at the University of Glasgow on 3rd March 2018. In our daily busy lives constantly occupied by noise, news, ideas and other things or phenomenon, for our best, we should seek the ability to pause them to live better. In the spirit of the theme,'Press Pause to Begin', speakers from a variety of backgrounds will explore the numerous interpretations and personal stories related to this theme, in their research, profession, or in any other activity.
