Originally a spin-out from a UK university, Teer Coatings are specialists in PVD coating technology. We exploit this technology commercially across three distinct business areas; Coating Service • We offer one of the world’s most comprehensive coatings portfolios - our coatings have a broad range of functional (and aesthetic) properties and improve wear resistance, hardness, lubrication, conductivity, corrosion resistance and optical performance to name but a few! • Our coatings add value to our customers components across a broad range of demanding industries including Motorsport, Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, Tools & Moulds, Oil & Gas, Decorative and Clean Energy • We are dedicated to the provision of high-quality products and services that fully meet our customer requirements and all products conform to ISO 9001 Coating Systems • We design and manufacture a wide range of new and refurbished coating systems based on our patented deposition technology, from small R&D systems to large production systems. • We have a flexible and customer-orientated approach to coating systems and regularly tailor specifications for exact requirements. • Our coating systems are sold worldwide, across 6 different continents. We also offer global technical support and service contracts. Research & Development • R&D has been, and will continue to be, fundamental to both our own, and our customers’, future success. We are firmly committed to developing new coating processes and products in existing and emerging markets • We have published 110+ scientific papers and successfully completed ~30 funded collaborative projects with a total value of £35M+ • We commercialise research – filed 90+ patent applications, produce patented coatings in-house (~33% of coating sales) and license IP to multi-national competitors and customers.
