Teetotal Initiative

Teetotal Initiative is a Pittsburgh-based 501(c)3 non-profit that enhances the quality of life and bolsters relapse prevention for the sober community. Our mission is to help individuals sustain sobriety through free, high-quality sober-focused events, activities, and social recreation. We welcome and support all forms of recovery, irrespective of the path or program followed. Our focus is on caring for the “rest of life” that happens outside of formal treatment and group support. Our programming complements and enhances an individual's recovery program or toolbox, helping them navigate the journey toward sobriety with hope and positivity. Teetotal Initiative places a strong emphasis on fostering a sense of community and inclusivity for all individuals, regardless of the specific path they have taken towards achieving sobriety or recovery. The organization is deeply committed to supporting individuals in their efforts to maintain sobriety by providing a safe and supportive environment that offers a range of events, outings, and activities aimed at addressing common triggers such as loneliness, isolation, and boredom.
