Tehdas 108

Tehdassaari Cooperative was a social enterprise approved by the Finnish Labor Union and its primary purpose was to produce social good. The cooperative promoted service solutions for the creative economy and the circular economy, ecosocial civilization, cultural well-being and fair transition, and cherished the intangible cultural heritage. Tehdassaari Cooperative was founded in 2013 by a group of 14 professionals consisting of professionals in the field of culture, art and well-being. The TEHDAS 108 - Creative Center (2012–2022), maintained by the cooperative, was a popular meeting place and a major growth platform for arts, culture, well-being, learning and entrepreneurship in Tehdassaari, Nokia, Finland. With the 108 operating model, TEHDAS 108 created diverse, low-threshold content, unique products and services, and networks and ecosystems based on a common value base. The communality of TEHDAS 108 was based on citizen-oriented activities, the purpose of which is to maintain a communal work and event space and to create a diverse culture and holistic well-being for the entire Pirkanmaa region. TEHDAS 108's vision was a creative community where knowledge and the wonder of life are shared, supported and enabled by supporting interdisciplinarity and multiculturalism.
