George Winks and Katharine Prendergast are the minds and the hands behind Temper. From our studio, lab and workshop in rural Wiltshire, we design and make idiosyncratic furniture that speaks to our fascination with experimentation, form and materiality. Drawn to the generative space between thinking and making and learning by doing, George’s detailed aesthetic softens the binary between art and artisanship, forming the foundation of Temper’s explorative, process-led approach.
