Temperance Training

Temperance Training was founded to promote sustained sobriety through fellowship and community with a common goal of physical fitness. We offer free community based fitness classes for anybody in recovery with 24 hours or more of continuous sobriety. Our purpose is to provide a safe and supportive environment to assist individuals in recovery to reestablish health and hope, and to build their place in society. We encourage personal growth through physical endurance, peer to peer accountability, and opportunities for service and fellowship. Since our inception in April of 2017, we have had the pleasure of meeting over people who have come in to sweat with us, likely share some laughs and high fives, and get a taste of what our community is all about. Almost all of our Temperance Training staff, including our two co-founders Tim Mustion and Anthony Fazio, are in long term recovery. We have first hand knowledge of how difficult getting sober and staying sober can be, how valuable the people you choose to surround yourself with truly are, and how important community, service, self-discipline, purpose, and physical fitness are in addition to spiritual growth. Our members are diverse and we warmly welcome all: whether you have been sober for 24 hours or 24 years, young or old, fit or not, there is a place for you at Temperance Training.
