Tenagra Observatories Ltd

Tenagra Observatories, Ltd. is an Oregon Corporation formed in 1992. Originally started because of Michael Schwartz's (CEO & President) fascination with discovery and the required automation to make it efficient, Tenagra has grown to its current facility in the S. of Arizona by (1) Performing its own research,(2) Sharing internet telescope access for transient phenomenon observation,(3) Sale of telescope time via internet to many universities and other institutions and (4) Receive of a NASA 3 year grant to improve on techniques for NEO follow-up and return prediction. As of February 2018 Tenagra Observatories has agreed to merge with the Virtual Telescope II in Rome, Italy under the expert direction of Dr. Gianluca Masa. While research activities will continue, with a specialty in NEOs, much of Tenagra telescope time will be dedicated to education and outreach with Dr. Masi spearheading the efforts.
