Termquake

TermQuake is a non-profit dynamic multilingual termbase built in response to the Turkiye-Syria earthquakes of February 6, 2023. Initiated by three undergraduate students from Bogazici University's Department of Translation and Interpreting Studies, and supported by professors and over a hundred volunteers, TermQuake rapidly expanded into a 30-language termbase. Focused on real-time disaster management phases such as search and rescue, first aid, and disaster management, this initiative aims to equip field volunteers with essential communication tools. Originally created on Google Sheet, the termbase is available as on offline application as well.
