Terra Associate Laboratory

TERRA is an Associate Laboratory that addresses society's challenges and provides answers and advice to the public and private sectors, either through the involvement of scientists, stakeholders and policy makers to co-create knowledge and build processes for sustainable development and management of natural resources. The Associate Laboratory TERRA brings together more than 450 researchers from five leading and highly complementary R&D units from the University of Lisbon and of Coimbra- CEF - Forest Research Centre - CEG - Center for Geographical Studies - CFE - Centre for Functional Ecology - ISAMB - Instituto de Saúde Ambiental - LEAF - Linking Landscape, Environment, Agriculture and Food TERRA will hinge upon the concerted action of five highly complementary thematic lines: 1) Natural Capital and Sustainable Ecosystem Services; 2) Sustainable agriculture, forestry and fisheries; 3) Products Processing and Circular Economy; 4) Society and Environmental Health; and 5) Socioecological systems, planning and policies.
