Territory Nfp

Territory NFP is a design-based creative youth development organization, providing skill building programs in urban design for young people ages 14-19. Since 2012 we have worked with more than 300 youth who have completed over a dozen projects including pop-ups, proposals, and semi-permanent installations to reclaim public spaces in our communities. Teams of 6-20 youth work together in studio programs lasting six to ten weeks with 20 to 120 contact hours per team. Our programs are funded by a combination of foundation, government, out-of-school career readiness and workforce programs, commissions, national and local companies, firms, and individuals. We provide skill building programs in urban design, public art and community planning for young people ages 14 through 21. Using the studio-apprentice model, young people gain essential problem solving tools, and learn how to direct themselves and lead others through design projects addressing real needs on site in their own communities.
