The Textile Centre Haslach is located in the factory building of a former weaving mill and continues the textile tradition of the Mühlviertel in Upper Austria in a variety of ways. WEAVING MUSEUM Immerse yourself in the world of textile materials and patterns! Experience the processing of flax fibres and the production of linen fabrics up close - from the old hand loom to the modern weaving machine! Extensive practical educational programmes for children and school classes make the subject tangible for everyone. Opening hours: May - October: Tue - Sun, 10:00 - 16:00 I November - April: Thu - Sun, 10:00 - 16:00 Guided tours for individual visitors: Thu - Sun: 10 am Guided tours for groups of 10 or more possible at any time by prior arrangement TEXTILE COURSES & WEAVERS' MARKET Weaving, knitting, dyeing, printing, embroidery, lace-making, sewing and much more- At numerous weekend courses for adults, you can experience how precious things are created in your own hands. You can also enjoy the special atmosphere at the summer course weeks, which take place every year in July around the international weavers' market! TEXTILE PRODUCTION & TRAINING At the Textile Centre Haslach, simple utility textiles are created from high-quality natural fibres on historical and modern weaving machines, which are available on site and online. We also make our equipment and expertise available to universities for training purposes and develop customised fabrics for cooperation partners.
