The World in Globalization has significantly spurred modern transportation and advanced information and communication technology in bringing peoples around the world closer together, and influenced the flourishing of greater democratization, which empower the people in today’s world to play an increasing role in every critical governmental decision-making process both domestically and internationally. The people-to-people understandings are hence a significant factor contributing to the ever long lasting and close friendship between the countries. Realizing the present global trend and the increasingly important role of public diplomacy, the Thailand Foundation was founded in 2007 to act as an independent non-profit organization to promote the better understanding and the appreciation of “Thainess” through non-political means, such as culture, arts, performing arts, Muay Thai, sports, traditions, and education exchange.
