The Access Agency

We believe travel is for everyone. The growing number of people with access needs should be able to enjoy fulfilling visitor experiences with friends and family – just like everyone else. As disabled travellers we’ve faced the indignity and inconvenience of inaccessible buildings, poor customer service and little or no consideration for older and disabled customers. Yet as a market Accessible Tourism is growing 20% year-on-year. We do three things: 1. advocate, inform and educate at all levels for access and Universal Design, we 2. provide access consulting; auditing and advising on environments for operators and destinations, and we 3. provide meaningful marketing and communications for travel experiences so people can plan, visit and share their experiences. We want people with access needs to travel better and operators and government to recognise this important group.
