The Advocator

The Advocator brings together a comprehensive and interactive database to assist you and your family in your search of finding the best programs and services in your area that are targeted specifically at helping those with special needs. The Advocator, launched in June 2012, was created with the purpose of alleviating an ever growing frustration within the special needs community. The concept was conceived when founder, Giordano Rodriguez, began working with individuals with special needs in 2006. It was while taking part in Individualized Education Program meetings that he recognized the difficulties that families of persons with special needs were facing in locating the services they were seeking. Between doctor appointments, therapy sessions, busy work schedules, and juggling all the unique demands that come with caring for their loved ones, Giordano found himself surrounded by an overwhelmed group of parents and guardians. How do they find the services they need? Confronted with this question, and discovering that there were very few resources already in place to assist, he took it upon himself to find a solution that would simplify the process and rid these families of the challenges they were facing.
