The Baiting House Collection

The Baiting House Collection is a group of family owned inns clustered in the spectacular countryside of the Teme Valley in the neighbouring counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire. It all started around 3 years ago when local couple Kate Lane and Andrew Cornthwaite decided to rescue their local pub, The Baiting House at Upper Sapey, which had recently closed down after years of decline. The couple set about a major refurbishment and the Baiting House has now been lauded in both the local and national press as an example of how country pubs can thrive in today's economy. Kate and Andrew have subsequently purchased and renovated three further properties. Although the attention to detail is the same in all our properties, we try to make sure that each has its own identity and character.
