The Ballantyne Project

Dwight Ballantyne shares his story about growing up in a northern First Nation for 21 years, the unique barriers, the effects of Residential schools and intergenerational trauma through a 50 minute presentation with middle and high schools, businesses and organization across Canada. Our #WeSeeYou Campaign provides resources and opportunities for youth and young adults living in northern and remote Indigenous communities: Our #WeSeeYou Trip hosts Indigenous youth from remote First Nations across Canada for 7 days of educational, cultural and life experiences in Vancouver, BC in February and May each year. Beginning in 2024, we have added another exciting component to the #WeSeeYou Trip. We have partnered with Chef Siobhan Detkavich (Top Chef Canada 2021 and Dine Your Sign tv host 2022) who will spend time with the youth, sharing her inspirational story and cooking skills during different activities throughout the trip. Our #WeSeeYou Activity Boxes offer families and businesses an opportunity to ship boxes of activity supplies to remote First Nations across Canada during the winter holiday season. Through The Food Project we deliver fresh and non-perishable food to the First Nations in the Lytton, BC area.
