We’re passionate about making our designs work on a number of levels. From the aesthetic to the financial, but above all we will never forget whose garden it is! Steven Schiller spent 20 successful years in residential and commercial estate agency, providing him with a unique insight into the challenges of maintaining and selling properties in premier London locations. Often it was the first impression that let a property down, with a garden that simply did not reflect the true quality of the property. He could never understand why more was spent on a single bathroom, for instance, than was spent on an entire garden, be this a new build development or mature property. What was missing in his mind, was a blend of exciting design combined with project and financial management, that would inspire people to commit to enhancing the value of their property, whilst also adding to the pleasure of ownership and providing areas of tranquillity and relaxation. He took that personal conviction and turned it into something tangible by achieving a Diploma qualification at the renowned Pickard School of Garden Design. This in combination with his property industry experience helped him to found the Baum Consultancy with a solid base.
