The Big Break

The Big Break is a growing venture that aims to support independent artists with experience, insight, and most notably high-quality content they can use to grow and promote themselves as full-package musicians at no cost to the artist. In 2012, The Big Break launched as a volunteer-led battle-of-the-bands style competition in Colorado, and in 2021 the contest was brought back to life in Pennsylvania where it’s currently based. The competition requires original acts to create their own homemade music videos which the public will view and vote for to determine which bands get the chance to play live in front of a panel of judges. The winners receive professionally-captured and produced audio, video, and photography content including live performance content, a full audio track recorded at Encore Studios, and a fully-produced music video. They’re also welcomed back to The Big Break stage to headline the following season’s finale show. The Big Break is now in its fourth season of competition, and has began expanding to offer hosted interviews and live session performance videos as seen in the new side-series “In The BREAK ROOM.”
