The Bikalan

Pronounced ‘Be-Kal-An’,= ‘Jetty’ in Bidayuh. If you wander back in time, through Siniawan’s ancient heritage street, you will find The Bikalan. In the middle of the Bazaar, just by the boat ramp to the Sarawak River, stands a Belian shop house, dating by to the 1920’s. This is the Bikalan. We provide a comfortable & relaxing environment, for you to enjoy a cold beer & some exotic Bidayuh food, feeling at one with Sarawak. Siniawan Bazaar is a street frozen in time; seemingly untouched in 100 years. The Bikalan follows that theme. Our renovation used recycled & local materials combined with traditional construction techniques; to maintain that historic feeling. Our food is Bidayuh/Chinese/Western style, with strong local influence; showcasing fresh local produce. The Bikalan also features a large screen TV, Astro Sports, state-of-the-art AV system, VIP area; & a function room that can cater for up to 40 guests
