The Braithwaite Gallery

The Gallery is located on Low Petergate, at the crossroads of Stonegate and Minster Gates, just yards from the South Transept of York Minster - if you can see the Rose Window of the cathedral you won't be far away! According to old maps and plans of the city, the wall of the Roman fort runs directly under the floor of the building! The Gallery is owned and managed by the Braithwaite family - artist MJ Braithwaite and his wife Anne, assisted by their young son (who wants to be an artist like Daddy when he grows up!). The Gallery is proud to be a member of The Fine Art Trade Guild, the Trade Association for the art and framing industry. The Guild sets and maintains industry standards for the benefit of Members and their customers. In 2006, Anne Braithwaite was elected Branch Master of the Guild for the North East of England.
