The Bridge Foundation Bristol

The Bridge Foundation has provided in-depth therapeutic expertise to over individuals in Bristol and the Southwest since 1983. Leaders in child and family mental health, we specialise in providing in-depth psychotherapeutic support, to make a difference to children, young people, and adults who are suffering mental health difficulties. Our multidisciplinary team is equipped to support the mental health of individuals from all backgrounds and experiences. The Bridge Foundation was founded by Sally Box, a psychoanalytic psychotherapist trained at the Tavistock Clinic who had the vision of applying a psychoanalytic approach to understanding issues of everyday life, groups, and organisations. Today, our focus is on providing high quality therapy to children, families, couples, and adults suffering from mental health difficulties. We are a registered charity, and we provide our services in two main ways: Bridge in Schools – embedding highly qualified therapists in local schools in areas of deprivation to provide support to vulnerable and at-risk children. Bridge Psychotherapy Service – providing a not-for-profit 1:1 therapy service for children, adolescents, families and adults. We believe everyone deserves to feel secure and supported in their mental health. Our highly trained therapists provide a safe space for individuals from all backgrounds and experiences.
