The Catering Dept is a market leading Sydney caterer, delivering fresh and innovative menus for the office and corporate environments; film and television locations; backstage and festival / outdoor locations. Established in Sydney in 2011, the Catering Dept leadership team have over 20 years experience in the industry and have carefully selected a team to represent years of experience in catering to Sydney’s corporate, fashion, entertainment and film industry clients. Menus are seasonal and designed around a passion for fresh, local ingredients with environmental sustainability in mind. Supplier relationships exist with other local business to showcase the best Sydney has to offer with a focus not just on the menus, but making a positive contribution to the local community wherever possible. The Catering Dept is committed to caring for the environment and employs broad sustainable practices wherever possible, from recycling used cooking oils into bio fuels right down to biodegradable stickers. All food packaging is recycled, recyclable or reusable. The Catering Department employs a team of approx. 20, with a seasonal growth of local team members to allow all menu production and delivery systems to be managed and run in-house. Not only a team of passionate ‘foodies’ and hospitality professionals, the Catering Dept is young, energetic and aims to innovate the way catering solutions are delivered.
