The Change Starter, Llc

The mission of The Change Starter, LLC (TCSL) is to dismantle racism one conversation at a time, while helping to empower individuals to participate in raw and honest discussions about race and its issues. The need(s) that The Change Starter, LLC will address: • Filling in historical educational gaps. • Cross-cultural communication skills. • Ushering in an atmosphere of mutual respect. • Being the facilitating, educational voice for businesses as they work at moving towards a cultural competent work environment. • Providing educational awareness opportunities for participants to examine their own cultural identity as they learn about others. • Providing an atmosphere to allow individuals to explore appropriate behaviors when engaging with their peers, co-workers and/or the global community that reflects mindfulness and cultural competence. • Offering opportunities to participants to examine and self-reflect on their own behavioral rules and norms that may conflict with another individual’s way of life.
