The Chenab Times is an independent, multilingual, and multimedia news outlet established in 2017. From its early beginnings, it has grown into a national platform known for ethical journalism, fact-based reporting, and strong community engagement. We cover stories across India with a focus on development, governance, environment, culture, and civic accountability. Alongside national reporting, we lead in the preservation of India’s diverse linguistic heritage through our Multilingual News Initiative, which publishes news in endangered and regional languages such as Bhaderwahi, Sarazi, and Gojri. With an editorial team supported by over 60 contributors and the Chenab Times Foundation, we ensure that journalism remains independent, community-driven, and impactful. Our stories have influenced policy, amplified marginalized voices, and sparked meaningful change on the ground. Recognized nationally and internationally, The Chenab Times is a member of DIGIPUB News India Foundation and was awarded “Most Impactful Local Journalism & Language Preservation NPO – Asia, 2025” by Acquisition International.
