The Chisholm Group is an economic justice organization committed to real impact and systemic transformation through educational & workforce opportunity, strategic partnerships, and entrepreneurship. The mission of the Chisholm Group, LLC is to transform generational trajectories by connecting education and economic pathways in cities across America, bringing these sectors together to create stronger pathways to the future. Our approach is based on a model of targeted universalism. This means setting ambitious goals to prepare all students for the future but beginning with those historically locked out of the opportunity. The Chisholm Group currently provides education agency, government, non-profit, and business consulting services at the national, state, and local level to address systemic barriers in access to economic opportunity for marginalized communities. The Chisholm Group also coaches Black women, women of color, and non-binary individuals on how to begin their own entrepreneurial journey to launch or expand a business venture, breaking down barriers to economic opportunity. The Chisholm Group is named after the late Congresswoman Shirley Chisholm, the first Black woman to run for President of the United States from a major party. Ms. Chisholm was an education, economic justice, and women’s rights warrior. The Chisholm Group pays homage to our ancestors by continuing their legacy of lifting as we climb. The Chisholm Group will always be driven to be “unbought and unbossed”, and a “catalyst for change”.
