Research Team based in Croatia, University of Zagreb, Faculty of Science Project Overview: In the dance of adaptation and divergence, populations once indistinguishable find themselves transformed by the accumulation of genetic nuances. We delve into the very essence of organismal adaptation, exploring the emergence of new ecotypes in response to varied environments – from saline seashores to subalpine rock crevices above m a.s.l. Unveiling Nature's Complexity: How do genes orchestrate adaptation to diverse environments? To what extent has the speciation process advanced within the studied group?
